NOW HIRING: Technical Proctor Positions across the USA

We are looking for responsible, tech savvy and enthusiastic individuals to help with a special project – it is the role of Technical Proctor for a prototype high stakes professional exam. This is a temporary position working 1-2 days (online training), 1 set-up day for IT hardware (at your residence) and 3 days in a row onsite Friday, Saturday and Sunday directly at the proctoring test centers.

The ideal candidate works well independently, has excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical problems quickly in an exam setting.

Important: Those applying for the position should not be law school students, anyone who intends to take the bar exam, law school staff, or anyone associated with bar prep companies.

Job Responsibilities Include:
Providing Technical Support to the Exam Proctor including the following processes:

• Downloading of a single back-up exam to each back-up device on-site.
• Set-up of back-up devices on-site prior to exam session.
• Support exam proctors with exam upload checks.
• Support exam proctors with resuming candidate exams where required.
• Network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Student exam IT Support such as swapping a student laptop with a backup laptop if they cannot access the exam online or have Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
• Pre-exam support including receiving back-up laptops, testing their Wi-Fi and bringing them to the test centers.

Being available the following Friday, Saturday and Sunday based on your location:

Technical Skills – Essential:
• Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems:
Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving common issues on Windows and Mac environments.
• Network connectivity troubleshooting: Strong knowledge of diagnosing and resolving Wi-Fi and connection problems.
• Technical support experience: Proven track record in a technical support or IT helpdesk role, providing effective solutions to end-users.
• Familiarity with exam software: Experience with online exam tools and platforms

Technical Proctors will be provided with training to support the above functionality.

Other Qualifications:
– Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
– Ability to pass a criminal records check.
– Availability to work the dates and hours during the exams in your city/state.
– Applicant may not have applied or be in the process of applying to pass the bar exam.
IT certifications: Certifications in IT support or related fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are an asset.
Exam administration: Previous experience with supporting candidate exam
sessions is an asset.
Those with a valid driver’s license, and a car are an asset.

Position: IT Support Technician

Job Responsibilities Include:
– Disconnecting workstation technology and getting it packed up for corporate relocations.
– Setting up workstations in corporate offices including computers, monitors, docking stations, keyboards etc.
– Mounting monitors onto monitor arms and adjusting cable management in sit-stand desks.
– Installation of cable management systems and deployments of new hardware including monitors, monitor arms, docking stations and laptops.
– Removing hard drives from old technology and preparing it for electronic recycling.
– Assisting with installing or removing data cabling & access points in corporate offices.
– Assisting with data center and server room moves (un-rack and re-racking servers) as well as server cable management.
– Providing Day One onsite technical support in corporate offices after they move into a new location.
– Technology Cleaning.
– Working effectively with clients’ team members and facilities management on the progress of project activities in a professional manner.
– Participates in staff orientation and training as required.

Qualifications Required:

– Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
– Ability to pass police reference checks for jobs requiring high level security clearance.
– Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as required.
– Those with a valid drivers’ license and a car are an asset.
– Must enjoy working with technology but previous experience isn’t required.
– Previous experience cabling offices for internet is an asset.
